What are you currently doing now, and how did GForce influence where you have gone since your internship, if at all? I would recommend anyone in the industry to apply! Working at GForce was an absolute pleasure and an amazing learning opportunity. Would you recommend for a young adult to intern at GForce? They truly wanted to help the client, and seeing them put people first is the reason why GForce is so successful today! It was super eye-opening to see that they listened more than they spoke. The biggest "AHA" moment during my summer internship was seeing Darrin Michael and Greg Gotlin talk to clients. What, if any, AHA moments, or big learning moments did you have during the summer program? Regardless of whether it is software consulting or accounting, it all starts with people and personal relationships! It all starts with people! Greg taught me to center your business goals and ideals around the people you currently work with and whom you want to work with and for. During my time at Hamilton College I also taught the American Government sequence for Hamiltons Higher Education Opportunity. Milan is currently a sophomore at The University of Georgia studying Accounting and Financial Planning. This week, our GForce Resource Spotlight is about our former intern, Milan Chokshi. It is clear to me that Fidelity is a great place to start your career, and I really hope that everyone can experience what I was able to. I truly loved my time at USyd because I got to meet so many new people and. And thank you to everyone else who made my internship experience insightful and exciting! The advisors both from Georgia and Sydney were really helpful in answering. I for sure had over a million questions during my internship, and I never felt discouraged from asking anything. They all had a huge impact on me as they showcased what a team member means by patiently training me so quickly. I had the absolute pleasure to work alongside Jacob Hyland, Patrick Clarke, Mellonie Lazarus, MBA, Isabelle Bray, and Steven Klausman. Seward and Jeremy Herrington for being such amazing mentors during my short time at the office. I want to give a special shoutout to Ryan M. I absolutely loved being able to showcase everything Fidelity has to offer and there was always a new opportunity around the corner. This came with the unexpected opportunity for me to step up to the plate and to "throw myself in the deep end". My internship started with both of my supervisors out due to COVID and being short-staffed. I was immediately welcomed by one of the hardest working teams that I had the absolute pleasure to work with and learn from. Although internships are labeled as "temporary", it felt anything but temporary. Over time, I developed a knack for mentoring and walking students through the best options considering their individual wants & needs.As the new school year begins, my time at Fidelity Investments has come to an end. I have found incredible value in being intentional and thoughtful throughout the college admissions journey to ensure you make the best choice for yourself. a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering minority students to pursue their purpose through higher education. I'm driven daily by my desire to pursue equitable health & education for all. I currently work full time as a Health Communications Specialist, with a focus in cancer prevention. My time at Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University allowed me to pursue my other professional interests as I obtained my Master's in Public Health. After serving as the advisor for over 800 junior & senior students from 2018-19, I left for graduate school. In 2018, after graduating from Duke University, I became an advisor at a high school in Durham, NC so I could be that much needed resource for local students. As a first generation, low-income, minority student, I recognized early the incredible power that comes with the resources & knowledge of a college advisor. ![]()
